A lively and fun rap poem about trying to be as happy as we can be. 3 stanzas/ 3 choruses.
THROW OUT THE GRUMP
by Elise O’Brien
Seems to me that looking angry
Can make us lonely, and that’s sad.
Seems to me that letting other know we’re grumpy
Must be bad.
(chorus)
So ….. glare go
Sneer stop
No, no, hip hop
Moan jump
Sulk bump
Throw out the Grump.
Seems that we should change our faces
From a glare, into a grin
So that people all about us
Are happier to come close in.
(chorus)
Seems to me that acting sulky
When our way we want to win
Only makes us more unhappy
With others’ patience wearing thin.
(chorus)
