All the fun of the fair, but it can be tiring, can’t it? 4 stanzas of 4 lines each/ 1 stanza of 2.
AT THE FAIR
MICHELE LOURIE
Look at the fair, come to the fair,
Join in the queue just over there.
Clown faces turning left and right,
Ferris wheel circling, hold on tight!
Who’s for a ride through the haunted house?
Be still, stay still, quiet as a mouse
’til a hand reaches out and brushes each head
And a zombie appears as the living dead.
In the dodgem cars we bang and crash,
For the fairy floss we make a dash
Our faces covered with sticky goo,
There are so many things to do.
As night comes on we stop and sigh
To watch the fireworks light the sky
Then home, at last, to our comfy beds
With the thrill of the fair still in our heads.
The stilt walkers, clowns and hot dog store
Prancing horses and lots ….. lots …….. (SNORE)
