A Junior to Intermediate monologue for girls or boys. With the intention of painting a ‘peace’ sign, the painter finds others confuse the word with ‘piece’ and ‘peas’. A humorous story.
“I asked my father if I could paint something on a great big ugly cement wall at his place of business. ………
“What are you going to paint, dear?” my mother asked.
“Peace,” I said.
She looked a bit surprised then smiled.
“Oh yes, that should be lovely. Peas are such a pretty vine – little curlicued leaves and tiny white flowers.”
