It is wonderful having a new puppy, all your own. Dad tells you that you must look after your puppy and warns not to take it out of the yard for fear it will become lost. The park safe enough, but, unfortunately, the puppy is lost. However, it does find its own way home. A Junior monologue.
“Dad said I wasn’t to take (my puppy) outside the yard or something might happen to it, because it wasn’t ‘street’ trained. (But I took) my puppy with me. I mean, the park is not a street, is it?”
