Rising damp

$3.00

An Outback poem about a lonely drunk.

Rising Damp : 4 stanzas each of 8 lines about the life of an alcoholic Teacher.

You would always find him in the pub
With his hands around a beer,
And he’d talk and talk incessantly
Though the words were never clear.
While at cadging drinks for free
He was undisputed champ.
He was constantly so full of grog,
That they called him Rising Damp.
